As you know, I like to let you know when new books from some of my favorite authors are released, and I’m pleased to tell you if you don’t already know, that Dianne Harman, the USA Today Bestselling Author has just launched Murder in Seattle, the third book in her new Northwest series. And for a limited time, you can pick up a copy for less than a buck!

getBook.at/MIS

Here’s the summary:

What would you do if your sister’s husband of twelve hours, Clark, was considered a suspect by the police in connection with his rich Uncle Vinny’s murder? And the rich uncle just happened to be a member of the Mob?

DeeDee has no choice but to enlist the help of her boyfriend Jake, a private investigator, as well as Al, Uncle Vinny’s scary bodyguard, to help her find the murderer and clear Clark’s name.

It could have been a number of people, but which one? Was it Uncle Vinny’s cousin or his wife? Uncle Vinny had a lot of money, and although he hadn’t come by it legally, the color was still green. Or the rogue cop whose father had ended the prostitution rings in Seattle, but was certain Uncle Vinny was the person who had resurrected them. He couldn’t prove it, but he wanted them stopped.

Or perhaps Clark’s business colleague who was jealous of Clark’s recent promotion? Maybe it was the wedding planner who resented everything Uncle Vinny was giving the newlyweds, particularly the house on Queen Anne Hill. Or even Clark himself? After all, Uncle Vinny gave a toast at the wedding declaring him to be the sole heir of his substantial fortune.

As always, plenty of food, recipes, and dogs in this, the third book of the bestselling Northwest series.

Happy reading and I’ll talk with you soon!

The Case of the Jaded Jack Russell Has Launched!

Hi folks,

Just wanted to confirm that Book #10 in The Thousand Islands Doggy Inn Mysteries, The Case of the Jaded Jack Russell, launched this morning. And it’s already the #1 Dog Breed book on Amazon. Thanks so much for your ongoing support!

You can grab your copy here: http://amzn.to/2tUEjJy

Here’s a bit about what’s in store.

Suzy and Josie are featured speakers at the Animal Entrepreneurs Expo in Ottawa and having to deal with Joshua Middleton, the CEO of the largest pet store franchise corporation in North America. He’s also someone Josie went to vet school with, and their shared history is anything but good. And when Middleton is found poisoned in a storage room during a cocktail reception attended by several hundred people, the list of suspects quickly begins to grow.

As Suzy attempts to work her way through a complicated web of motives and suspects, she and Josie meet the Jack Russell terrier Middleton has been using as his company’s mascot and brand representative. And as soon as they learn that the dog isn’t being treated well and his spirit is broken, they do everything in their power to figure out a way to take possession of the dog then do everything they can to make sure they don’t have to give him back. But when they learn that the head chef at the hotel they’re staying at is one of Chef Claire’s ex-boyfriends, things take a bizarre turn when it becomes apparent that he is still having a hard time letting her go and just might pose a threat. Further complicating Suzy’s ability to focus on who killed Middleton is a dog toy business opportunity that has the potential to be the biggest thing since Beanie Babies.

Along the way, they’re forced to deal with an odd mix of people including Roxanne, Middleton’s gold-digger fiancée who Josie previously stabbed in the hand over dinner one night, the obnoxious and hard-drinking COO of Middleton’s company who is suspect #1, and a banker who’s been playing a little fast and loose with a lot of the rules. Working with a pair of lovebird Canadian cops, Suzy’s neurons are pushed to the limit before this immensely satisfying installment of this increasingly popular series wraps up.

The Thousand Islands Doggy Inn Mysteries features two of the smartest and funniest lead female protagonists to hit the cozy mystery scene in a very long time, and Suzy and Josie’s affection for food and their boundless love and devotion to their dogs puts this series in the don’t miss category. The Case of the Jaded Jack Russell is the latest installment in this fast-paced and funny series that affectionately focuses on dogs, food, and the natural beauty of the Thousand Islands region.

Greetings From My Laptop!

Hi folks,

I hope everyone is doing well. I thought I’d post a general update on some things I’ve been working on. As you can see, life continues to be both busy and productive.

First of all, I’d like to thank all of you for your support of my two newest series, The Thousand Islands Doggy Inn Mysteries, and The Whiskey Run Chronicles. I couldn’t be happier with how they’re both doing! (Well, I guess we could always be happier, right?) But to say I’m delighted is an understatement.

Book #9 in the Doggy Inn series, The Case of the Itinerant Ibizan is now available in paperback and you can get it here: http://amzn.to/2t5CYfs

The link will also take you to the e-book version if you prefer that format.

Book #10 in the series, The Case of the Jaded Jack Russell is launching on July 31st and is available for pre-order. Here’s the link for it: http://amzn.to/2tK3B84

As you know, The Whiskey Run Chronicles is my new episodic series set in the Thousand Islands during Prohibition and deals with bootlegging on the U.S-Canadian border. It’s a fascinating part of the Thousand Islands history and I’ve done my best to pay homage to the beautiful part of the country I was fortunate to have grown up in. I’ve bundled the first seven episodes into Season 1 and you can get it in both e-book and paperback right here: http://amzn.to/2qbFLFq

And be on the lookout for Season 2 of The Whiskey Run Chronicles. Expect a lot of new challenges and adventures for Milo and the gang as they continue their efforts to give the people what they want and not get caught doing it.

The Case of the Hurricane Hounds Now Available in Paperback.

For those of you who’ve been asking, Book 8 in my Thousand Islands Doggy Inn Mystery series, The Case of the Hurricane Hounds, is now available in paperback. You can grab your copy here: http://amzn.to/2qgNmmj

Here’s what you’re in store for…

Suzy, along with Josie and Chef Claire, has finally succumbed to her mother’s pressure and are in the Cayman Islands for some relaxation and time in the sun. But on their first night there, a major storm blows through, and Suzy and Josie head outside to rescue a stray bloodhound they saw on the beach earlier in the day. But their rescue effort needs to be expanded when they realize the agitated bloodhound is trying to protect a female basset hound and her six puppies.

When the power goes out while they’re trying to get all eight dogs settled into her mother’s garage, Suzy wonders if their first day of vacation could get any stranger. Her question is soon answered when the lights come back on and Wily, a local financier with a reputation for philandering, is found stabbed to death in the living room. Before Suzy has time to even focus on who might have killed him, Jerome Crenshaw, an incredibly wealthy resident, gets killed in his own house the same way as the first victim.

And as she embarks on trying to solve the murders, it soon becomes apparent that her mother has some ulterior motives of her own that could force Suzy, Josie, and Chef Claire to make some life-altering decisions. Surrounded by the ocean, and confronted with a diverse group of individuals as well as a few stingrays that are just a bit too close for comfort, all three women begin to wonder, that if they had wanted weirdness and murder, why did they leave home in the first place?

New Releases!

As promised, my latest book in The Thousand Islands Doggy Inn Mysteries, launched yesterday. It’s book #8 in the series and is called The Case of the Hurricane Hounds. It debuted at #2 on Amazon as a Hot New Release in the Dog category, and I’d like to thank all of you for your ongoing support.

And the number two slot was the one I was hoping for because, as soon as I learned that my good friend, Dianne Harman, was launching her latest on the same day, I knew the #1 slot would, deservedly, be reserved for her. And since she is such a wonderful person and terrific writer, the number one slot couldn’t go to a better individual.

(But I think I will check her launch schedule before I release my next one.)

Anyway, I thought you’d appreciate an overview of both books.

I hope you enjoy them!

The Whiskey Run Chronicles

The Whiskey Run Chronicles is the latest series from bestselling author B.R. Snow, and is set in the Thousand Islands during Prohibition when smuggling whiskey across the Canadian border into the U.S. was a business a lot of people wanted to get into. One of those people is Milo Razner, a man with big plans and a charming personality that belies a mean streak that sometimes seems to have a mind of its own. And soon after arriving in town, Milo begins to unveil his grand plan to become a respected, legitimate businessman while also operating the largest illegal booze running operation around.

The Whiskey Run Chronicles is written in individual episodes that are approximately 40-50 pages long and designed to be read in a single sitting. Readers can expect to see 3-4 new episodes every month, each one selling for less than a dollar, and the series will play itself out from just before Prohibition becomes the law of the land until it is finally repealed in the early 1930s.

The series has all the elements of B.R. Snow’s writing style readers have come to expect and enjoy. The big cast of supporting characters are well-defined, and the dialogue pops off the page. It’s a series that is one part historical fiction, one part crime story, and one part love story. Above all, it is smart and funny, and readers will find themselves rooting for Milo, a villain with a big heart and even bigger ideas about what might be possible when you do everything in your power to give the people what they want.

Episode 1 – The Dry Season Approaches

Milo Razner arrives in town and immediately begins to launch his plans to control the smuggling of illegal whiskey from Canada into the U.S. just before Prohibition becomes the law of the land. But before he can get started, he needs to make a couple of purchases and deal with a few locals he needs to help him get his grand plan off the ground.

Episode 2 – Friends and Enemies

Milo has a to-do list a mile long, and the increasingly lustful intentions of Ruby Crankovitch are making it difficult for him to concentrate. And when Oscar Hyde, the local chief of police, sets his sights on Milo, he is forced to add yet another item to his list of things to do. But Milo continues to march forward with his plan forward, and things are looking promising until Billy Crankovitch throws Milo a curve he isn’t quite ready for.

Episode 3 – Let the Games Begin

Milo has been heeding his own advice and continuing to take the long-view. But he’s increasingly anxious to get his new enterprise rolling. And when his new boat arrives, and the first batch of finished product is finally ready for delivery, Milo doesn’t waste any time. But between having to deal with Ruby and a couple of problem employees, as well as the Senator’s business partner who seems determined about getting to know Beulah a whole lot better, Milo has a lot of things to worry about. But when he learns that the new Prohibition agent assigned to crack down on the illegal booze business is an ex-cop he has a history with, things take a strange turn as Milo is confronted with his biggest challenge yet.

Episode 4 – Enter the Revenuer

Roland Doyle, the newly appointed local Prohibition agent, has arrived in town and is immediately determined to figure out of some way to make his mark and get promoted back to what he considers civilization. But Roland has a bit drinking problem and a newfound fear of water and boats that are making it difficult for him to achieve his goal. And since Milo has a history with Roland, he decides to lend a hand and do everything in his power to make sure the alcoholic, incompetent agent is both successful and stuck right where he is.

Episode 5 – A Changing Landscape

With Oscar Hyde, the local chief of police, in jail for bootlegging, and Roland Hyde’s drinking out of control, Milo is hoping to be able to relax and enjoy himself a bit. But with a handful of unhappy employees, Ruby’s demands that are rapidly getting out of control, and Billy finding a new love of his life, Milo finds himself dealing with problems on several fronts. And when he is forced to add a new business partner, Milo’s world becomes even more complex as his business continues to grow.

Episode 6 – Entrepreneurial Spirits

Expansion is on Milo’s mind as he makes some major decisions about the business as well as dabbling a bit in real estate. But threatening to put a major crimp in his plans are several of his employees who are either about ready to jump ship, or out to prove to Milo that they can run things better than he can. To make matters even worse is a local schoolteacher, the new love of Billy’s life, who is hiding a secret that has definitely gotten Milo’s attention and is pushing him to the edge of his already severely tested patience.

Episode 7 – All Hands On Deck

In the final episode of Volume 1, several problems Milo has been dealing with come into sharp focus as he attempts to take a bit of luster off of Roland Doyle’s star that is beginning to shine brightly with some decision-makers in D.C. And with the assistance of Tom Collins and Birdie, along with help from an unexpected source, Milo sets forth with a plan do just the right amount of damage to Roland’s reputation while continuing to focus the expansion of his burgeoning business that is struggling to keep pace with the seemingly endless thirst of his customers.

But first I’d like to announce that my good friend, Dianne Harman, has just launched the next book in her popular cozy mystery series and already has another major hit on her hands. Congratulations, Dianne!

The last thing Mike Reynolds needed in the final weeks leading up to his run for re-election as sheriff of Beaver County, Oregon, was to have his wife, Kelly, discover the body of a famous movie actress. It didn’t help that she’d died under mysterious circumstances from a fall off the cliff behind her home.

Number 12 in this bestselling series by Seven Time Amazon All-Star. Intro price of $.99.

Dianne Harman’s Latest Hit

My friend and fellow author, Dianne Harman, continues to enjoy enormous success with her books. Her latest cozy mystery, Murder on Bainbridge Island is no exception and it’s currently sitting around #300 on the Amazon rankings. (And since there are over a couple million books out there, that’s a pretty good ranking!)

Anyway, I thought you might be interested in Dianne’s latest and you can get it here.

Or was it a museum employee who was fired by the woman who hosted the dinner party?
